Regardless of breed, we highly recommend using Brain Training For Dogs by Adrienne Farricelli’s to develop your pet’s hidden intelligence and natural willingness to improve obedience and behavior.
Britain’s leading cat charity has created a video guide to moggy behaviour – after a study found many owners struggle to understand their pet. Animal lovers are often at a loss to explain why their cat extends its tail upwards, lies on its back, rubs against them, or even purrs. A confused 76 per cent did not know an upright tail means a moggy is pleased to see them, offering a loving “hello”. And one in three (32 per cent) thought a cat lies on its back when it wants its tummy tickled like a dog. In fact, it actually means they are relaxed and trust you – and want their head rubbed briefly instead. Owners are at risk of being scratched if they abuse this “trust” by touching their pet’s stomach, animal behaviourists at Cats Protection say.
