I love ferns even though they don’t always love me back. In this video I take a droopy Bird’s Nest Fern and nurse it back to health.

Every plant rescue is fulfilling in its own way. This birds nest fern rescue was particularly hard. The fern needed constant watering and monitoring. One missed watering and it was back to droopy leaves. Slowly the sick fern started to show some signs of health and its demands became less and less.

Bird’s Nest Fern Care:
Bird’s nest fern or Asplenium nidus requires bright filtered light with an evenly moist soil. Keep the humidity high and try avoid soggy soil. Also, try and keep the center of the plant, or the “nest” dry. A wet center is a great breading ground for mold and bacteria.
